143 Technical Engineer Graduate Course TGC in Indian Army commences July 2026

The Indian Army is inviting unmarried male engineering graduates to apply online in the required format for the 143rd Technical Graduate Course (143 TGC), which will begin in July 2026 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, in order to be considered for a Permanent Commission (PC) in the Indian Army.
Selected engineers will serve for the country and in the Indian Army’s esteemed Officer cadre Sarkari Naukri.

SSC Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army 143 TGC Entry

From the start of the course or the date of reporting to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), whichever comes first, selected candidates for the Technical Graduate Course (143rd TGC) will be granted a Short Service Commission (SSC) on probation in the rank of Lieutenant. During the training period, they will also be eligible for full pay and benefits normally granted to a Lieutenant.
After the 143 TGC training is successfully completed, pay and benefits will be given. Cadets will get a Permanent Commission (PC) in the Army at the rank of Lieutenant upon successfully completing their training.

Age

20 to 27 years as of 01/07/2026. (Candidates born between 02 July 1999 and 01 July 2006, both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification Criteria

Applicants may apply if they have completed the required Engineering Degree program or are in their last year of study.

Pay Scale and Stipend

The stipend during the period of training is ₹56100/-. On completion, the selected Engineers will be commissioned as Lieutenant on the pay scale of 7th CPC Pay Level-10 ₹56100-177500.  Additionally,  Military Service Pay (MSP) is ₹15500/- Per month paid to the officers.
